I have to be honest and say that I make some MEAN salads 🤘🏻 and balanced with all the macros ✨
What do you need to impress your friends and make a salad to remember?
My basics are ALWAYS:
💚Good quality leafy greens
💚Roasted veggies – pumpkin and beetroot are my favourite
💚Toasted nuts or seeds – my fav are toasted walnuts or toasted pepitas
💚Good protein source – love the roasted tempeh or grilled Haloumi, grilled chicken or boiled eggs or smoked tofu
💚AVOCADO – no avo no party
💚good HOMEMADE dressing – I like to mix Tahini with apple cider vinegar and mustard and olive oil and boiling water, but you can also mix with Tamari or balsamic vinegar.. endless options!
💚Herbs – always the winners, coriander and basil are my favs, mint if you use dairy gives a great twist
💚add a Mediterranean touch with sun-dried tomatoes or olives
💚lots of OLIVE OIL!
Then you can just build it which ever way you want it, and everyone will definitely enjoy creating their own salad with all these amazing flavours and full of colours and nutrients✨
